Objective: This study aims to investigate the impact of financial skills and digital financial literacy on the quality of financial decision-making and financial well-being among Generation Z.
Methodology: The present study is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey in terms of methodology. The statistical population consists of Generation Z members. Given the infinite nature of the population, a sample of 385 individuals was selected using Cochran’s formula. Data were collected through standardized questionnaires. The reliability of the instrument was confirmed using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient, which was calculated at 0.770. Data analysis and hypothesis testing were conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) utilizing SPSS and SmartPLS software.
Findings: The results indicated that financial skills have a positive and significant effect on financial decision-making ( ) and financial well-being ( ) among Generation Z. Furthermore, digital financial literacy was found to have a positive and significant impact on financial decision-making ( ) and financial well-being ( ). Consequently, all sub-hypotheses were confirmed, and the main hypothesis regarding the impact of financial skills and digital financial literacy on the financial decision-making and financial well-being of Generation Z was supported.
Conclusion: The findings emphasize the importance of financial skills and digital financial literacy in enhancing the quality of financial decisions and improving the financial well-being of Generation Z. Therefore, designing and implementing financial empowerment and educational programs based on digital technologies can play a significant role in enhancing financial capabilities and improving the welfare status of this generation.
