English

Objective: Identifying and analyzing anomalies arising from stock price gaps is of great importance, as these anomalies can influence price trends, trading volume, market liquidity, and investor behavior. In particular, some gaps may lead to the formation of new trends, while others may eventually be filled, causing prices to revert to previous levels. Accurate detection of these anomalies and appropriate responses to them can enhance trading decisions and reduce investment risk.
Methodology: The objective of this study is to validate and evaluate a model for identifying price gap anomalies in stocks. The data collection tool used was a structured questionnaire, and data were gathered from 88 investment experts, including experienced investors, analysts, and managers of regulatory institutions active in the capital market of the country. Participants were selected through a convenience sampling method. The data were analyzed using coding techniques and structural equation modeling (SEM) software.
Conclusion: The results from testing the proposed model indicate that the causal conditions pathway has a significant relationship through phases related to technical and fundamental constructs. This implies that both technical and fundamental factors influence the identification of stock price gaps. More specifically, one of the influential constructs is technical factors, which include imbalances in supply and demand, capital increase announcements, and high volatility.
