English

Portfolio optimization is a cornerstone of financial management; through the optimal reallocation of assets, it establishes a dynamic balance between background risk and expected return. This research aims to develop a platform-based, multi-objective mathematical model for budget management and optimal stock portfolio selection for industrial companies listed on the Iranian stock and over-the-counter (OTC) markets. The proposed methodology comprises two main phases: in the first phase, the static fundamental value of each stock is assessed using a valuation function based on fundamental analysis principles (encompassing liquidity, efficiency, leverage, risk, profitability, and market indicators). In the second phase, a dynamic multi-objective mathematical programming model is presented, simultaneously pursuing three key objectives: maximizing portfolio growth, minimizing risk (based on the asset covariance matrix), and maximizing the investor's average value over time. The statistical population consists of financial statement data for 420 stocks across 42 different industries, covering the period from 2018 to 2024. To solve the developed dynamic model at a large scale, the Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm (NSGA-II) was implemented in Python, with its parameters tuned using the Taguchi design-of-experiments method. Numerical findings from model validation using GAMS software indicate a zero-percent computational gap between the exact solution and the metaheuristic algorithm for small- and medium-sized problem instances. The study's empirical results confirm that the proposed model tracks dynamic changes in firm value over time—going beyond static indicators—and provides a practical, optimal tool for financial managers making decisions amidst market uncertainty.
